Solidarity Day: the heart of Conti Thun together with the Fondazione Lene Thun
For us at Conti Thun, solidarity is not an abstract concept, but a value that accompanies every gesture, every toast, every encounter. It means choosing to look beyond ourselves, to share what we have, and to transform the beauty of nature and wine into tools capable of doing good.
Solidarity, for us, is a daily act: a smile given, a helping hand, a raised glass not only to celebrate, but also to support. It is the thread that binds our family, our guests, and our staff into a community that believes in the value of giving.
Fondazione Lene Thun: a legacy of love and creativity
When we talk about solidarity, our thoughts go to the Fondazione Lene Thun, founded in 2006 by the Thun family and inspired by the sensitive soul of Countess Lene Thun, Ilona’s grandmother.
The Foundation carries out a wonderful project: ceramic therapy workshops in pediatric hospitals. Through clay modeling, hospitalized children can freely express themselves, ease fears and pain, and transform emotions into small handmade masterpieces. A path also recognized at the medical level as co-therapy, which today involves dozens of hospitals and hundreds of volunteers.
It is a precious legacy that touches us closely: Ilona’s grandmother sowed a seed of love and creativity that still blossoms today in the smiles of children.
Conti Thun’s solidarity days
With this spirit, every year we open the doors of our estate to moments where hospitality meets solidarity. These are days in which toasts, music, and conviviality intertwine with concrete gestures of support, where each guest becomes an active part of a greater project.
Cena in Bianco in the Vineyard for Solidarity
An evening along the rose avenue, under the stars, all in white: the Cena in Bianco Solidale is one of the events we love the most. An elegant and joyful occasion that also becomes a gift: every participant receives the “Filo d’amore” bracelet and we donate €3 for each person. Proof that a shared dinner can turn into a collective act of love.
Sax Night with heart
Our Sax Nights are already special: live music, glasses of wine, sunsets embracing the hills. Some of these evenings are dedicated to solidarity, involving our guests in a charity raffle full of prizes and transforming notes and toasts into concrete support for children in need.
Santa Lucia Day
December brings with it the magic of Santa Lucia Day, our most emotional event. On this day the estate becomes a place of festivity and creativity: we welcome children, offer workshops and games, and every activity becomes an opportunity to raise funds. That day, the entire Conti Thun team leaves their usual roles to dedicate themselves to volunteering: serving and leading the workshops.
A solidarity corner and our staff’s volunteering
Solidarity does not live only in events: within our estate we have a corner dedicated to the Fondazione Lene Thun, where we offer ceramics to paint and small crafts. It is a small gesture, but with great meaning: all proceeds are donated to the Foundation’s projects.
And for some of us, this commitment goes even further: several members of our staff have chosen to undergo the necessary training to become volunteers in pediatric hospitals, bringing the magic of clay directly to the children. It is a reciprocal gift: those who give time and heart receive unforgettable emotions in return.
Solidarity as a lifestyle
It is not just an event, but a way of living: solidarity is the daily choice to look beyond, to transform beauty into a gift.
A toast worth twice as much
Every glass raised during our solidarity evenings is a toast that carries with it hope, care, and closeness.
Together, with heart
Alone we can do much, but together we can do more. Every guest, every gesture, every smile contributes to building a supportive community that forgets no one.
The Solidarity Day reminds us that even the simplest gesture can turn into an immense gift. We at Conti Thun are proud to support the Fondazione Lene Thun, carrying forward the values that Ilona’s grandmother taught us: creativity, love, and solidarity.
Today we raise a toast to solidarity. Always, with heart.
